I try to craft something once a week, whether it’s a scrapbook, card, or something simple. I slapped together this quick DIY with my handy Cricut machine. For all my fellow-Cricut enthusiasts this ones for you. This DIY only took me maybe five minutes, it took me longer to decide on a font.
I had bought these great soap pumps at IKEA for only $1.49 and they’re glass. Great for seeing what’s inside, but I buy the Kirkland eco-dish soap which is the same color as the hand soap, clear. So to save my guest, and boyfriend, the hassle of asking me which is which, I labeled them.
I simply used the text tool in the Cricut Design center and window cling paper that has been sitting around since I bought the machine. Don’t make the same mistake I did, the white side goes face down on the Cricut cutting mat, NOT the black cling side. See photo for correct placement:
I would also advise cutting the amount you’re going to use, use the preview mat on the screen as a reference to not waste materials. After the cut carefully remove the excess material. You can also use the weeder tool that comes with the basic Cricut tools kit. Then simply attach to your object. Next time, I’d like to try mirroring so that I can weed out the excess.
That’s it, now I have cute labeled pumps. What would you use a Cricut machine for?
